Irish tenement buildings were often disjointed as several buildings were being combined and retrofitted to create a living space. It was important to develop the sense of community and yet, entrapement and isolation. The ceilings throughgout the set assisted in creating that mood.

 

Multiple practical light sources were utilized. In addition, time of day was easily created through the windows and shading of the building facades outside of Juno's dwelling.
